History:
Dahill Gardens, built in 1949-1950, was a rental apartment building until 1987, when it was converted to a co-op.
As a cooperative, Dahill Gardens has a board of directors, which is made up of shareholding residents of the building elected during the annual meeting. The board is responsible for making decisions about Dahill Gardens, its finances, reviewing applications of prospective owners, enforcing the coop’s bylaws, resolving disputes, and making sure the facilities of the building are in working condition, and, when necessary, interviewing contractors. The Dahill Gardens board of directors works closely with the property manager from New Bedford Management, which oversees the day-to-day operations of the building.
Facilities available to Dahill Gardens residents:
- Two laundry rooms, with 3 washers and 4 dryers in each
- Parking garage (22 spots)
- Bike room (32 spaces)
